Before YouTube and Tosh.0, people were already having fun with real video.  The inspiration for this spot was a news clip of First Lady Nancy Reagan having trouble at a ribbon cutting ceremony.  The whip-smart creative team thought, “Hey, wait a minute.  We have a scissors client –– maybe we can do something with this.”  They put 2+2 together, and the rest is history.
